Kickout Flashing

Stucco Wall Bulge

Wall bulges are usually indicative that the cladding has delaminated from the structure's sheathing and framing. There are various causes for this to happen but the main one is poor fastening or adhesive use.

Generally speaking, if the cladding is in good shape it can be refastened to the wall, if not, the damaged section is removed and reinstalled with new.

Expansion Joints

Expansion joints in hardcoat stucco should be installed at every floor line and from each opening (vertically) into the floor line joints.

Having the proper expansion joints allows for the the proper expansion and contraction of the cladding versus the different rates of movement by windows, doors, vents, etc.

While most homes do not have all of these installed during the original application, they can be installed afterwards as needed.

Stucco Flaking

Stucco flaking usually occurs when either the lath (metal mesh) behind the stucco oxidizes and falls apart or if the original composition of the stucco mix was incorrect.

Peachtree Stucco can diagnose these and prescribe the solution required for the repair.

Be sure to keep foliage trimmed away from the structure!
