Foundation Cutting and Sealing
System Terminations
Peachtree Stucco performs system terminations at grade (and roof lines)
The purpose of this service is to encapsulate the system, remove it out of the ground (or contact with the roof) and insure it is properly sealed per the manufacturers' specifications.
A correctly performed foundation cut will eliminate access by pests either behind or through the system. The result produced is cladding properly terminated and sealed with a "Termite Inspection Gap" which allows your pest control company to visually inspect for areas that require treatment.
Pests can tunnel through or behind the cladding if it is installed into the grade.
Peachtree Stucco will always try to make the end result aesthetically pleasing. The goal is to make it look as though it was originally installed this way!
Cladding terminated behind slab
Sometimes clients will have slabs or concrete pads poured long after the building was completed. This still provides an entry point as the system runs continuously down into the grade.
Visual Inspection
Termites will always make 'tubes' that they travel to. With a Termite Inspection Gap, you will now be able to see if they are coming out of the ground and where.
Roof Terminations
Roof terminations are similar to grade terminations in how they are made or installed yet provide a much different function. Stucco is not supposed to touch the roofline. Every manufacturer has this specification. By raising the cladding two inches up it provides the following: 1) A clear path of flow for water along the flashing 2) A visible inspection of the flashing condition 3) Prevents damage when you have your roof replaced. Peachtree Stucco performs roof terminations also!
